On the 11th November 2018 after the remembrance ceremony at St. Andrews Church, a commemorative bench was dedicated. The purchase of the bench was made possible by grants that were received from ‘Invest in Devon’ with the help and approval of Devon County Councillor Barry Parsons, and from the locality budget of the late Councillor Ken Carroll.

The bench is sited at the side of the Memorial hall, with beautiful views across the valley, it is hoped that the bench will be there for the benefit of future generations to rest a while. and never to forget those that gave up their lives.

A very moving eulogy was presented by Lt. Col (retired) Simon Price-Thomas who was a medic in the armed forces and served all over the world.

The dedication and prayers were led by Scilla Edwards.
